Had the Focus remapped today by Angel Tuning.

It's early days yet, but a drive around the ring roads of Basingstoke and I can definitely feel it pulling harder in every gear. It seems much more willing to pick up the pace in gear and you get a nice whistle from the turbo too.

I shall wait to see what effect it has on the mpg though.

All done in just over an hour - should keep me amused for a little while anyway!

Im not going to nay say you mate if i had a diesel id chip it aswell but watch ur clutch and gearbox, my mate had the 150bhp astra diesel with a remap on it was pushing 200bhp but doing this blew the gearbox up.

Ive also hear of it happening on the 2.2 mondeo st diesels after superchips Im not here to say there bad just keep ur eye on it! lol

Yeah obviously if the power and torque are increased, there's going to be increased strain on drivetrain components, and the clutch always seems to be the first thing that suffers.

It's gone up by around 33-35bhp and 55lb ft, but hopefully the clutch et al will take it. It's only done 26000 miles, so everything is still fairly fresh.

bugger me that makes the 2.0 tdci focus actually pretty quick lol i know the standard ones arent nothing to shout about where as the 150 astras do shift wen irritated aye well hope it all goes well and happy overtaking!
