OBD / fault code Reader

Featured Replies

Hey all.

I have started having issues with me 63 plate smax. A few weeks ago the engine malfunction light came on, so took it to a garage and it cost me £45 for them to read the code (DPF fault) and reset it. Today the engine light came on again and then about 2 miles later the car went into limp mode. Instead of paying the garage again what’s the best reader I can buy to find out the code and try and fix it myself?

thanks

The very best is the software FORScan which is also free. You will need a good connection lead. Use the vLinker FS cable.

Thanks for your help I Will have a look into them.

The software is Free for windows and about 6 quid for iPhone and android.  Easily pays for itself to have the obd device and forscan software.  As found, one reading at a garage can cost more
