MK8, 2020 Aircon drain pipe

Featured Replies

Good morning all, just a quick question as this is my first Fiesta.

My aircon is superb, can't fault it's operation. Usually in hot conditions with the A/C running on cars you usually get a puddle of condensation dripping from a pipe under the car.

I have not noticed this underneath my MK8, 1.0 Ecoboost 125 HP, but have noticed when pulling away from stationary drips of water / condensation seem to appear from the front lower engine bay when the A/C is in use.

A friend did tell me that the A/C drain pipes on the MK 8 actually drip out on the under belly engine pan, can anybody confirm this. The only reason I ask is I've heard stories of blocked pipes causing interior wet carpets etc.

Thanks in advance everyone & enjoy the sun whilst it lasts.😀

Have to admit I’ve only experienced a drip trail as I pull on or off a driveway, I’ve never had a pool of water form underneath the car.
