Coolant warning on start up

Please help! It’s a very warm day (about 23 C) when I switched on  on my 1.6 Fiesta. The car beeped a warning beep and gave no clues as to the problem till I was driving along when it showed the coolant indicator light and some kind of gauge

im now home and it’s closer to 30 degrees and checked the coolant level and us above max level (probs due to the heat today) 

Many ideas? ?  What the warning is about? I’m worried to drive but don’t want to replace the water pump if its just the hot weather!
