Transmission service light comes on

Hi All,

I own a 2010 Ford S-max with automatic transmission since September 2021. The transmission service light has come on twice - once in December and in July on the same journey, as it happens.

Have taken to garage and they tell me it's a communication error between the ABS and Transmission modules... quite pricey to check / repair (about £1200). Wondering if a full transmission flush and filter change woudl help the issue?

    It would be a very good place to start. Get the transmission fluid changed before spending money on other things.
