Hi all

i have a 2019 1.0 litre eco boost STLine. This is the model with a plastic skirt along both sills and across rear.

the plastic skirt has come away from the body near rear wheel arch. There appears to be a piece of double sided pad holding it to the body. I have been quoted by local body shop £240 to remove strip completely clean down and refit. Told it has to stuck with special adhesive.

There is no way I can afford this silly price. Does anyone know what the adhesive/ pad is and can I get this and do it myself?

advice please, cheers

    All you need is a bit of time and patience. Gorilla do a range of double sided tapes and sticky pads which are just as strong as the original. Preparation is the most important thing. Both surfaces need to be completely clean and dry. Use IPA to clean and degrease the parts before sticking them together.
