Issue connecting to sync

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have a 2018 fiesta over the last month or so I've been having a problem when I connect my phone to android play sometimes it worked other times it didn't. Now it won't connect at all I've tried a cleaning out the usb port, new cable, different phones and deleting all devices on sync and unpairing my phones and repairing. Not of this have worked. Has anyone any ideas how to fix this or is it a trip to the dealer😡

Just double check you’re on the latest Sync 3.0 software revision and that your Android version and apps is also up to date.

Further to that, maybe try an alternative cable from a respected brand such as belkin or anker.

Google is also tweaking which devices are compatible with Android Auto over the coming months with a slow roll-out of restrictions. From memory unless you have a Google Pixel handset you’ll soon need Android 12 upwards. Google Pixel gets away with a slightly earlier release.
