Sync 3 update

Featured Replies

Hi All

Just noticed the Ford sync & map update site has got a new update for both sync and maps. I have updated mine to 3.4.22110 and map F11 via CyanLabs but I know a few of you out there would rather wait for the official download. I assume the maps will be F11 but what version the sync update is I don't know. Hope this helps some of you.

No change there for me yet.

Official 3.4 build 22110 now available. Just updated mine but still on F10 maps

  • 2 weeks later...

I've downloaded and seemly updated the Sync 3 system on my new Fiesta...the update went OK and seemed smooth enough, plus the xml file created successfully.  However every time I try and confirm the update to Ford I get Sorry, error, try again later! once I have selected the xml file and pressed OK....I've tried several times over the last week but always get this error.  The xml file looks ok but can't up load the file to Ford.

Anyone else having this issue, maybe an issue with the Sync website?

I know there have been problems with the Sync 3 update before but you would think uploading a simple XML file wouldn't cause too many issues...🤔

Hello martinf64, I have the same problem here.
I have opened a case here at Ford Germany.

Here is the translated answer:

Thank you very much for your message.

In order to clarify the situation, we have contacted the technical department of our company. We are pleased to inform you that the phenomenon you describe is currently still being investigated by our specialists. We will contact you as soon as we have any new information.

In another Ford forum in Germany there are at least 10 other Ford drivers who have the same problem. The problem affects the whole range of Ford vehicles.
(Kuga, Focus, Fiesta and others).

Let's wait and see what Ford says

Best regards

Ford are still getting to grips with this new fangled technology. Remember they still have problems making a bonnet release latch !!

Many thanks for the information Sebastian, had a feeling it was a website issue and I wasn't the only one seeing this. Hopefully it won't take them too long to sort out...although knowing Ford I might be wrong assuming that 🤣
