Strange humming noise when accelerating from 0-2000k rpm

Featured Replies

Hello!

I own a MK7 Fiesta 1.25 duratec model year:2011. When I accelerate I hear a strange humming like noise from 0-2000k rpm then it disappears, it can be heard in all 5 gears, it sounds like it's coming from the drivers front side. The sound does not present itself while revving in neutral. Has anyone had this problem before?

Could it be a wheel bearing?

I thought of it but normally if a wheel bearing is broken it doesn't stop humming and has a more high pitch noise that becomes more prominent with speed, at least that was my experience on my other car. Is it possible that the clutch could be loud while accelerating to 2000k rpm, because sometimes when I'm going 80+ km/h the car feels jumpy.
