Australian recall (22S21) - 1.5L Dragon turbo petrol – "right-hand engine oil separator"

Featured Replies

May not be relevant to UK Fiesta STs but posted in case. Re: some 1.5L Dragon turbo petrol engines. I see there is a post here about this re the Puma ST.

My recall letter (for a 2021 Australian Focus 1.5L) says the fault occurs on less than 0.5% of relevant cars.

Looks like you can check it yourself with a mirror but I haven't tried it yet. This video is for a US Escape so it might have some differences:

Thanks for that. I'm sure there was a thread on here recently about the same thing where new cars were being held until parts were replaced if necessary.

I can't remember what car type it was for, there are not many here that now use the Dragon engine.

Edit, I see from your other posts that you found it.

Which is a shame. In Australia it was the only engine available on Focuses and Fiestas besides the ST 2.3L. But just a few weeks ago we heard all Focuses and Fiestas are now cancelled in Australia. The Puma is the only small Ford left now.

I can sympathise now with Americans that this happened to in 2018.
