Hi guys

I have a 2001 Freestyle, and need to touch up some of the paintwork on it. On the plate under the bonnet the VIN plate has seven little boxes on the left hand side as follow from top to bottom

I assume one of these is the paintcode, is anyone absolutely sure which one it is?

    There seem to be 2 types of vin plates around the period you quote,

    Generally the paint is the second one up on the left hand side(in your case 10)

    On some cars there are a row of 4 numbers across the bottom of the vin,and the paint code is next to last

    The code is XY

    X is the colour

    Y is the year of paint introduction.

    If yours is 10 it would be :

    Levante Grey (XSC 2554 CM)

    built in 2000

    BF is code for fiesta 4 door I think,could you confirm?
