Shifting problems

Featured Replies

Hi everyone!😝

I Just recently acquired a second hand 1.5 tdci duratorq Fiesta (mk.8) (2020 gen.) (85hp) (66.000km) from a Ford dealer but i noticed two mani problems

1) when in uphill during a restart from full stop when shifting from 1st Gear into 2nd and releasing fast the clutch the car does the same effect as a hard engine bracking (ex. same effect as shifting from 4th to 2nd) i feel a hard brake no matter the Speed and RPM only way to avoid this Is to slightly re engage the clutch very slowly instead of fast.

2) when releasing the trhottle or engaging It i can feel a slight cought from the car only One and when engaging or releasing the gas pedal After that the cars Is fluid and perfect but in the 1st microsecond you can feel that sorta of *bluurp* (same here no matter how much delicate i go the effect manifests anyway)

Any suggestions guys?

The car is still under manufactures warranty.

Why are you releasing the clutch 'fast' when changing from 1st to 2nd ??? Since the vehicle is already moving forward you should just be releasing the clutch at a normal rate.

probably because you have a Diesel engine 🤣

Yeah the car Is still under warranty

For point 2 yeah the told me due to the elttronic trhottle (not wire like old Fiestas) and the turbo there Will be Always that *bluurp* effect it's a mix between turbo lag and throotle and diesel

For point 1 still investigating
