Omex rev limiter

Featured Replies

I have brought my new fiesta zetec s mk6 only a day ago but I was going to buy an omex rev limiter…

before I buy I need to know a few things,

1.sounds very stupid ,but do you need a turbo, and do I need a single coil or double coil

2.will it break my car

3.is it worth it

4.how easy is it to install

5.what exhaust does it sound best with

What do you think the benefit of it would be, and how can it make the exhaust sound better - apart from blowing it apart as the ignition cuts out and dumps un-burnt fuel into a red hot exhaust?

I'd start by trying to complete your profile before moving on to more complex matters.

1. No

2. Maybe, maybe not.

3. That’s up to you

4. instructions should be online.

5. No idea, we’ve not got your hearing or taste.

not only that, he also has a 2022 fiesta 2008 special edition. Very rare I should think.

So ***** what

1. You need the double/twin coil version for modern cars with coil packs.  The single coil type is for older cars with a distributor.

2. It'll probably blow the guts out of your cat within a week, so de-cat is the best exhaust, but that's not legal, safe (regarding potential CO poisoning from a poorly installed system), MOT passable or neighbour friendly.

3.  Given the above, I'd say no, but plenty of people must disagree or they wouldn't sell them!

4. Just a bit wiring, depends how competent you are with that.
