2015 Black Edition - Metallic sound when braking

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

My fiesta has developed a metallic scratching/pinging sound when ever I press and release my brake pedal. The sound is definitely coming from outside the car and from the front wheels.

I have already had the anti-rattle clips changed as well as the brake pads. The sound did stop for a day or two after they were changed but it's back even more now.

Here is a link to a clip I recorded of the sound.

Any help would be appreciated.

you checked the splash shield on the back of the disks?

I don't think the splash shields have been looked at in any detail yet. I think the guys that worked on it last thought it was the anti-rattle clips so just had them changed along with pads.

I was just wondering if anyone has had the issue/knew what it was or for other things I could mention when it goes back in this weekend. I will mention the splash shields this time round, thanks!
