Tailgate rear hatch adjustment

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone give me any tips on adjusting rear tailgate. It has a slightly bigger gap on one side than the other. Thanks Steve.

Here's my advice - if it's not leaking, I'd leave well alone. Unless you are friendly with a local bodyshop who may be up to adjust it for you 'as a favour'...

Cheers for the advice it just looks odd with the tailgate not being in the centre and just needs moving over a little.

It's only my opinion, adjusting any panel, a boot, door etc always looks as if it should be easy, but from experience when I tried to adjust a door years ago, I ended up with barely being able to shut the darn thing. Adjusting your headlamps, or door mirrors, straight forward, but a body panel needs some expertise, hence my 'warning'. If you can catch some YouTube videos, and feel confident, don't let me put you off from trying - it's your car...
