High Pitched Humming from Rear

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have noticed a high pitched humming from the rear of my 06 Fiesta when travelling at 30mph and above. I have checked the wheel bearings and observed no play or noise on any corner ( and also replaced a bearing in the rear half a year ago. )

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this noise?

Cheers,

J

Sounds like wheel bearing tbh.  They don't always show play when jacked up.  If you replaced one, perhaps the other is now on it's last legs?

It does sound like one, may be worth replacing the other and seeing what happens. I cant tell what side it is tbh

This could be it, found my tires to be overinflated. Did they even themselves out in time?

They won't even out.  Best test is to swap front and rear wheels to see if the noise moves forward.
