Water coming out top of water bottle!!

Featured Replies

Hi all, been so stressed with my car I have a ford fiesta zetec 54 plate and water has started coming up out of the top of my water bottle!! Performance of car is fine, thermostat gets to normal temperature and stay there, no signs of head gasket going had radiator thermostat changed and even changed the water bottle cap, but seems like when car been running a while water pours out the top of the water bottle and I'm so confused as to why and insight would be great, a friend has said water pump but not 100%

I had this with my old fiesta I replace water pump 2 thermostats.lol radiator expansion tank and cap car had no oil in coolant or vice Versa still blew all its coolant out expansion tank cap. Suspect the head gasket was gone but never confirmed just scraped it. Might be worth trying heater control valve on the bulkhead? Good luck

I'd say there is more than a 90% chance the head gasket is leaking.

Three options.

(1) take the head off and replace the gasket. (2) Buy a hydrocarbon test kit and check to see if there are exhaust gasses in the coolant. If yes then back to option 1. Or option 3 buy some Head Gasket sealer like 'K-Seal' or 'Wondarweld' and pour it in the cooling system.

If you use option 3 and it works then, good, and if it doesn't work well your no worse off than you are now.

i was loosing coolant into one of my cylinders no sign of coolant in oil, oil in coolant or anything else just coolant going down. K-Seal Ultimate sorted the issue. but like UNO said you can give it a shot and if it dont work your no worse off. k-seal is cheap but worth a shot if it saves you stripping down the engine 🙂

Should add to my comment last resort for me was to try k-seal  didn’t work for me but worth a try as last resort.
