So today as I opened my boot I realised that the left hand side number plate bulb holder was hanging down, upon trying to push it back up, it just instantly falls back down again.. I decided to try pull it out but after 25 mins of continuous pulling and trying to figure out how it's done, I got nowhere, I made it even worse if anything.. my question is, how do they come out? I've seen videos and stuff and they manage to pop it out so easily, but it seems like somethings just holding onto it and won't let it come out.. I've seen the metal clip but I'm not sure how I could go about taking that out if the clip has been bent the wrong way etc, any suggestions? 

I don’t know the answer but if it was mine I would shove some bathroom sealant or something like that round it and stick it back in

• Did you try get the other one out with a mini screwdriver? If that's stuck too, maybe you aren't doing it correctly. Push a little screwdriver in and push it towards the light globe side of it. The metal clip is a v shape and you are trying to squeeze it in so its a flatter v. That get it off the ledge on one side so it can fall down the gap.
