My son has just bought car to learn to drive. He wants to do it up. Will he be able to buy a newer shape front bumper and bonnet for it. Will they fit?

thanks

Hi Zoe,

Short answer is "yes" but the lights are different also so some rewiring may also be involved.

Even using second hand parts this would be an expensive exercise and a fair amount of painting would also be jnvolved, unless you are lucky enough to find second hand parts in the same colour as your car.

Insurers may class the car as "modified" which may affect premiums, particularly for a new driver.

I would always advise spending any available funds on getting the car into the best possible standard condition particularly with regard to brakes, suspension, tyres, steering, etc.

I do know what young lads are like though, I was one (a long time ago😀), so good luck with that!
