Hello. I'm trying to figure out if I can swap my old coolant cap with a newer version that is a different shape underneath. The kpa and psi are the same.

Can I swap 3m5h 8100 ad for Dg9z 8100 a?

My car came with this model number: 3m5h 8100 ad (on the left in the picture). The replacement cap is Dg9z 8100 a but looks different. Does it matter if the base shape doesn't look the same as the original one?

    It should be totally fine. It is just a newer design as the original type often fall apart.
