Cooling System Hose Advice

Featured Replies

Hi all,

So my Son has a 2013 63 plate Ecoboost 1.0 engine, I've seen on previous posts about the  Ford Cooling System Hose which is part metal. Some have replaced this with another Ford hose which contains no metal - 'Genuine Ford Cooling System Hose 1804469'. Ive attached a copy of my Sons which I have treated (the sections with rust on with Kurust. I have given it 2 coats and was then going to use the  very high temp paint that halfords sell that other have used on the turbo pipes as in previous topics on here. Do you guys think treating it with kurust as I have done ( as well as treating the hose clips)  and then painting with the very high temp paint  would work or would you go down the replacement pipe route ? Thanks in advance for feedback20220905_200044.thumb.jpg.e88f8916392432e1b84a8a8ade259af7.jpg

I'd just get them replaced next year at the same time the wet belts are changed.

OK I'll do that..appreciate the feedback...we've had a quote for the wet belt change from Evans Halshaw so will request the relevant coolant pipe above to be changed too 👍
