MPG for Mild Hybrid

Featured Replies

I have a 2022 Fiesta Titanium Vignale 155 (mild hybrid).

I'm interested in what people are getting in terms of mpg.

At the moment, I am hovering between 47 and 48 but I live in a town and do a lot of town driving.

My previous Fiesta did around 40mpg.

Hi Steven, I see you are one of the lucky ones to get a 2022 Fiesta. Still waiting for mine. My 2020 build 125 (mild hybrid) with 5610 miles on the clock is a averaging 54mpg, general every day driving. Just been on holiday and covered 300 odd miles mostly motorway and dual carriage way with ECO mode selected and cruise control set at 60 mph and got a return of 65.4 mpg.

2021 Firsta Mhev 125 bhp and I have a lifetime average of 50.3MPG.

A couple of things to mention I drive with Stop/Start disabled and most journeys are very short at just 3 miles, twice a day every day. Personally I’m really impressed with that.

When circumstances change and I’m able to have the odd decent trip away I’m sure my MPG will increase. But for now I’m more than happy.

The last four fill-ups on my 125Mhev Fiesta have worked out as (after 1800 miles on the clock) :

56.1MPG (59.8MPG), 58.3MPG (60.8MPG), 62.7MPG (64.6MPG), 62.1MPG (64.2MPG)

The last two higher measurements are with the car exclusively in Sport mode, I find the overall engine response is better (its a shame it doesn't remember the mode when you switch off).

The figures in brackets are what the car is indicating which always tends to read high but very happy with anything over 60MPG for the calculated MPG. Will be interesting to see what it drops to with the colder weather on its way.

You need a little 'gizmo' fitted and then your car will remember both the drive mode you want set, and also, if you would like the Start/Stop system on or off each time you start the car.

I was expecting you to say that there was no need to disable start/stop as it would soon stop working properly of it's own accord LOL

Well I've already got a 'gizmo' (several in fact)...its called a finger...a multi-purpose and invaluable device for any driver. Primary purpose is to signal to other drivers your appreciation of their driving and manners on the road (and yes, you can also use these crafty digits in pairs, especially useful during encounters with Merc, BMW and Audi sorts) but oddly enough are also useful for pressing switches and buttons 🤣

Thank you for all these replies. I'm quite happy with 47+ but will try and get it to over 50. Perhaps turning off the air conditioning as the cooler weather approaches will help.

For goodness sake man, keep your A/C on!! It conditions the air by removing humidity, hence the inside of your windows won't steam up. It is not a solitary 'temperature' device! It is a very misunderstood system...
