Hiya, need help with springs

Featured Replies

hiya recently I’ve been able to feel

the road more than usual and one side of my car was leaning to one side. I asked a mechanic if I had coil overs or lowering springs and he said the latter. So I’m on the look out for some springs but can’t figure out how low my springs need to be as I believe zetec s tdci mk6’s come lowered stock on 15mm, not to sure if this is true

any recommendations on springs and can anyone just by looking at the picture be able to tell me how low that looks? Do I buy 60mm springs or do I get springs around 45mm for my car

here is a picture, hopefully somebody can tell me how low it looks

Looks like 50-60mm drop to me.

Do you have the original shocks?  That's way too much drop if so, the shocks are probably knackered which is causing the harsh road feel.

Always amuses me how some people (like the OP's previous owner) think they can design and install a whole car suspension in their spare time better than Ford can manage in a multi million dollar 5 year development programme.

would he get that low on springs? looks like he has coilovers to me..
