2015 Fiesta - here we go again!

Featured Replies

I have a 2015 Fiesta.  In April 2022 on start up, the car announces “emergency assistance is not operational, please contact your dealer” but the emergency assistance was on.  A week or so later it throws up on my Sync screen “traction control is off”, it was on.  The morning I take it to the garage the power train light illuminates.  Long story short, Ford identifies the issue which results in a brand new instrument cluster.

Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, start the car up, up flashes on the Sync screen “traction control is off”, it’s most definitely on.  Call Ford to get it booked back in, they can’t see it until mid-October.  Tonight the car announces “emergency assistance is not operational, please contact your dealer”, the emergency assistance is on……deja vu.

Have I just been really unlucky and had a duff new instrument cluster fitted or is there a bigger issue going on that Ford didn’t pick up the first time

Using a digital multimeter measure the voltage at the battery terminals 1 hour after the car has been parked.

What reading do you get ?
