Traction control lights up, and speed reduces, with no acceleration

The traction control light came on, and the car speed reduced, and would not pick up again. After a few hours it reset, and all was back to normal - is this a known problem?

    Use the software FORScan and a good ELM327(modified) lead to read the Ford specific DTC's.

    Probable fault with an ABS wheel sensor causing failure of the traction control which for safety reduces speed and engine performance.
