I’ve noticed my engine has started making a ticking noise, I’m aware that the engine is rather loud when idling and has a tick that is normal for these cars. The tick only seems to be there when accelerating. friend of mine is telling me to get it into a garage for an oil change and go from there. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue and how they went about resolving it.

    nothing to worry about, it's just the fuse. All Ecobooms do that just before the big bang !!

    Seriously when did it last have the oil and filter changed ? It is absolutely critical on that engine that regular oil changes are done (at least once a year). The importance of using only the exact specified oil is again something that should always be checked to avoid the denigration of the wet belts.

    We frequently denigrate the use of wet belts on here, but I guess the autocorrect struck again and changed it from degredation!😀
