2016 Fiesta idle rough

Featured Replies

Hi.

My fiesta is a low mileage (67000km) vehicle and 6 years old now. About a month ago I got is for a drive and noticed when I started the car, that while parked and idling the car would vibrate and shake heavily. This only happens or is noticeable while parked or rolling at low speed or while moving off the engines own power. The car can sometimes feel a bit down on power in lower rev ranges and can jerk when shifting up just letting the car roll as I come off the clutch slowly.

I recently took the car for its annual 120 000km/6 year service thinking that it would be solved, I did mention the issue to the ford dealer & servicer when dropping the car off. They did not do an analysis of the issue nor show much concern to it. Afterwards on collection of the car at ford, I asked a service personal about the issue and they replied its a common issue and normal with the 3 cyclinder 1L cars.

My question is then... Is this something that is common or not? Should I still be worried and concerned?
