Unable to get app link to work at all on my 2022 fiesta

Featured Replies

So far, I’ve tried everything with all the apps that claim to work with it, but no matter how many guides I follow and my phone is plugged in and paired and CarPlay disabled it never finds a single app.

am I doing something wrong or is there not a single compatible app anymore?

I've had my Fiesta since 2019 and have never seen this work.

I've stuck with Android Auto since then.

What sort of apps are you looking for? I don't have any on mine (only had it 2 weeks)

The apps that work with Carplay are there when you connect to Carplay. Waze, Apple Maps, G-Maps, Internet Radio, Spotify, Etc

If you search for apps using Sync it never finds anything

If Carplay is not connecting properly, use a genuine lead

I get those no problem, just thought it was some non Carplay apps

No, the only compatible APPs are there when you connect

Waze used to be compatible with AppLink but it’s also available via Android Auto and CarPlay.

Many of the other AppLink apps of which there’s not as many as there were are a bit pointless. Cisco WebEx used to be one!

Main criteria for success is a good quality cable so for Apple those that have MFI approval.

For the confused reaction to my earlier reply:

https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/search/Which apps are compatible with SYNC AppLink/

The SYNC Applink Catalog was a list of compatible apps for Applink and is no longer available.

AppLink has also been discontinued.

So your app link works ?

Why is it still sold on their new cars if it’s discontinued.      I would happily use CarPlay for music etc if I could use ford navigation so my digital Custer keeps showing my turns.  But CarPlay disables built in nav and theirs no settings to change this.   I know it’s possible even the new Vauxhall corsa can do both.
