Yes, I think this generation (DE/DH) is a similar platform to what we usually refer to as the Mk 7 or 7.5 Fiesta. Don't know exactly how similar though.

That post was back in October 2018. If this was a problem with Fiesta's I'd expect we would have had a few reported on the forum by now.

Yes I guess so. Wonder why it happens on Mazda2. As I think it is the same part as fiesta (but I don’t guarantee that but I know Mazda 2de and fiesta were designed jointly by Ford and Mazda when Ford had a major stake in Mazda). Don’t know if the beam used on the Mazda is made in same factory as the fiesta one.  You’d think not but my wife’s 2010 mazda2 has Ford on the alternator, top engine mount and front brake callipers. That’s what I have spotted , it might have Ford on loads more parts if I went looking deliberately. I think that design of axle flexes when you do things like drive onto a slope at an angle.  Perhaps Mazda has different amount of suspension travel which flexes it to more extreme level than fiesta. It can’t be down to mazda2 drivers putting it through its paces more than fiesta as I think mazda2 is more of a cute little ladies car (cute little car not cute little ladies).  I’ve probably offended some male mazda2 owners.

Both cars mentioned in the links to the Mazda forum were 13-14 years old,to be fair.

As already mentioned, If the actual component was common to the 2 and Fiesta, you might have expected it to have cropped up on here, given that we're not usually reticent at mentioning issues!

Very likely that Ford have their own suspension tune as as happened previously with shared platforms, but would be interesting to have the definitive answer on this, nonetheless.
