Fiesta mk7 door/wing mirror frame

Featured Replies

So 1 hit and run and 1 wing mirror later, I'm left with finding out that since the mirror was bolted in ofc, the frame between the bolt and the mirror itself which the screw goes through on the mirror has all bent upwards, so putting and bolting a new mirror on leaves a HUGE gap under the wing mirror, is this something I'll just be able to hammer back into place? is there a certain amount I need to do it? do I need to worry about doing it too much or anything? all help and recommendations welcome

2009 is a MK7, yeah?

If so, it's bent the door frame, not something I'd personally take a hammer to, to try and repair.

Might be cheaper and easier to get a replacement door.

You can tap the frame with a piece of suitable wood and a hammer to get it pointing in the right direction. Done it a few times on customers cars.
