What are the yellow and purple wires connected to negative battery connector

As Dave has said we need to see a photo.

I have just checked the Ford wiring schematic and the only connection to the negative terminal is the BMS.

There should be the main chassis earth wire (black) connected to the BMS and also two smaller wires, but neither are the colours you have.

possibly something aftermarket, pics or see whats not working.

Its a single yellow/purple wire that goes to the neg terminal and as mentioned by unofix its a load sensor to do with smart charging. I am sure of this as I had to extend mine after moving my battery into the rear of my car.
