(Help) Update on 2011 Ford Fiesta sedan problem

Featured Replies

Hello update on 2011 Ford Fiesta manual transmission (5 speed) 1.6L as of now I have taken the car to 2 shops after trying the alternator replacement that was recommended by you guys the code says it is a ecm issue so I had to take it to the dealer now it is at the dealer and they think it is the tcm but they are not sure does a manual transmission have a tcm as well? And if so can this cause it not to have spark but, before I could run it by pulling the intake and spraying fuel into it (not recommended by anyone) to narrow down the problem (it did have spark at the time I did this since it ran) I took it to the shop and they said it has fuel pressure but not spark now anyone have anything similar happen to them and what did you do to fix it ? The car has 80,157 miles on it is this common at all?

No TCM on a manual transmission.

Make sure your battery is good

Make sure your earthing points are good, especially the engine earth.

Check all electrical connections for damage

Is the coil pack OK (did they still have coil pack at this age?)

So coil pack was good everything’s all good the ECM went out that’s why it had spark once then not the next time same with the fuel. The computer was just bugging out thank all of you for your help this is a awsome community and I will definitely be asking you all if I have any more problems! You guys are the best!
