This is my first post on this forum so please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong place !.

We have a fiesta mistral 1300, N reg ( 1995 ). I need to replace the front pads which to many of you will sound like a routine job.................but not to me !! I have done the following. Removed the caliper , loosened the bleed nipple , pushed the piston as far back as I can get it to go , then fitted the pad with the three clips. However , I just can't get the other pad to fit , it is slightly to wide to go into the slot. Is there anything else I should have removed or slackened ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
