Another Good Dealer

Featured Replies

well took my foci into halbeath ford garage rapid fit yesterday in dunfermline to get the timing belt done

i got the belt the tensioner and bolt, pulley and guides as well as the tensioner bolt and fan belt all done for £210 including vat parts and labour.

car wasnt quite right so they said i could pop it in this morning low and behold they checked it all over with me there, then plugged in the diagnostic reader turns out when they done the belt they noticed the tensioner was so old and worn it had put the outlet timing slightly out so the computer was trying to run the car on those old settings instead of adjusting for the timing now being spot on wiped the memory of the old settings and ran the car, after a good drive to let it relearn it was as sweet as a nut and even better the mechanic said ill just plug it in to the diagnostics machine he gave me a full diagnostics check for free even sat there and showed me all the readings all sensors fueling etc etc all clear no fault codes lingering all as it should be well chuffed the guys were spot on no hassle at all.

considering the local independants wanted 195 quid for the same job so far they have been cheaper than anyone else goes to show not all dealers are bad guys.

thats an excellent price art.

I had my 2006 1.6TDCi cambelt+auxbelt done for £295, and the new cambelt was the full kit, not just the belt.
