Hi new to forum and looking for help.

In short we bought 2014 smax and have just had it serviced and also put in a new battery.

Now we need to input the radio code but we don't have it, we have been told we have to remove the radio to get the serial number and that is where the problem is.

We can't get it out using the release keys because someone who previously owned the car has botched one of the clips inside and one of the keys now doesn't work in the slot so any help at all would be very appreciated

Thanks for posting the photo. Unfortunately it's not the type that will display it's serial number on the screen like many other Ford units do. Perhaps there is a way but I don't know.

Just checking that you have 4 removal tools (one for each corner) people often don't know there are two slots at the bottom behind the blank covers.

I assume the damage clip is the top right looking at the photo. Other than trying different things in the slot to try and release it, I'm not sure what to suggest. Perhaps leaving the car parked in a Liverpool NCP car park overnight would help get it removed ?
