Fiesta 2013 - Dipped beam comes on then turns off straight away

Featured Replies

When I turn the dipped beams on, they both turn on then straight away the left bulb turns off. Everything else seems to be working normally.

I've replaced the bulb but still same problem.

I've looked at the fuses but I'm not sure which to look at or change.

It's a 2013 Fiesta Zetec

You have a high resistance in the wiring to the left lamp or an earth fault.

There are no fuses for the dipped beams on your model. They are controlled electronically by the Body Control Module (BCM) which is part of the passenger compartment fusebox.

The BCM on the 2013 models are known to be prone to water ingress and corrosion of the connectors and/or the circuit board. Disconnect the negative lead of the battery before removing the plugs from the BCM. Look for signs of water or greenish corrosion on any of the pins or inside the unit.
