Hi,

I'm looking for somebody who has a Ford Focus MK4 with both the

• B&O sound system
• and also the Active Noise Cancellation (with three mics in the headliner)

In the Netherlands such a Focus was never sold and the old Fords that did had a separate module for ANC

I'm trying to retrofit the system but need a little help. If somebody has a Focus with B&O + ANC and wants to share his/her vin-number in a Private Mesage I would be really happy, then I can find out which audio module you have.  There are around 60 for the Focus....

 

 

I am not sure if this helps. I bought my MK4 with practically all possible options in 2019. This is the MK4 version. ANC was not an option. To be honest, this is the first time I hear about the ANC for Focus. PS: Germany

Maybe it means the Focus was never ever sold anywhere with this option. The reason I started looking is because it is mentioned in the Wiring Diagrams. It doesn't mention if it applies only to a certain type (maybe an option for a ST only?)

I have searched my Focus as-build collection, the only modules types are JX71-18K810-** and LX71-18K810-**, also there is no ANC feature in any wirings of MK4&MK4.5. Nothing in Microcat. So, for sure, ANC was never an option for Focus. However, there is ANC in Kuga MK3, as we know, very similar to Focus. But, all ACM module for Kuga I was able to find is JX71-18K810-**! So, maybe it is not a feature specific to the newer releases of the ACM (first letter is somehow design year designator, J... is the oldest, M... newest) See, appropriate page of the Kuga MK3 wiring (nothing like that can be found in Focus diagrams):

 I installed an ACM module, serial number: (JX71-18K810-ZBK) for the B&O system. It turned out that it is also suitable for the use of the ANC and ESE systems. I also installed 3 Microphones. Serial number: (HP5T19C055AA) and then had to add different firmware versions to the roof trim through software. I didn't do this, but I was present during the update. Now the engine sound and noise cancellation work. I find the noise cancellation a bit weak, but it has definitely decreased. I bought another set of microphones, it might be better. Their serial number: (LJ6T19C055BA) I made the wires myself. The wiring diagram was among the MK4 drawings. You also put it here.
