Front passenger door replacment Mk7.5 Fiesta 5 door

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have has a look around here, but couldnt find my answer, so hopefully someone knoledgable will be able to help

My partner has 2016 5 door Fiesta Titanium (Panther black)  and someone in the car park has mashed down the door and wing causing a fair amount of panel damage.

My plan is to buy a second hand door and wing of the same colour and fit them, i would like to know if the MK7 door is the same as the MK7.5 ?

Thanks.

Physically they are the same door.

You need a door with the same type of windows. So if your car has all electric windows both front and rear then you need a door form a car with all electric windows.

If your car has only front electric windows and the rear doors are mechanical winding windows then the replacement front door must be from a model that is the same.

It is a very good idea when replacing the front passenger door to transfer ALL of the electric controls/wiring from your original door to the replacement door.

Not necessarily,

As you've said your self:

It is VITAL that you use the parts from your vehicle onto the donor door.

The basic door is identical, as is the glass, but the regulator, harness and latch etc MUST come from your door.

As long as you get the right colour, just swap all the parts from your car over

And a silly point - if yours has tinted glass check the replacement carefully and swap the glass if necessary. A friend of mine failed to spot this until after the new door was fitted and all the trim replaced.!😀
