New owner of a 2012 MK7 Fiesta Zetec S.

Featured Replies

I've recently bought a 2012 Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S

I haven't got the audio booklet with the radio code, how do I go about getting this code or do I need a code?

Is there away to save your current settings before replacing the battery?

On the current battery there is no green indicator light, I take it this means the battery will need to be replaced, if so how soon do I need to do this?

Cam belt replacement is that every eight or ten years?

Many thanks in advance

David

Several sites like this can help with radio code:

https://www.freefordradiocodes.com/

No codes on Mk7.

So long since I had one couldn't remember if it came with a code of not.😀 The online handbook is a bit confusing, but yes, it does suggest it's not something you would input yourself:

SECURITY CODE

Each unit incorporates a unique code that is linked to the vehicle identification number (VIN). The system will automatically check that the audio unit and vehicle match before allowing operation.
If a security code message appears, please see your dealer.

** don't think there's a code - I've had the battery disconnected and no problems on reconnection.

** do you mean radio stations?  No.

On the current battery there is no green indicator light, I take it this means the battery will need to be replaced, if so how soon do I need to do this?

**never had any indicator lights on a battery before - unless you are in the emergency services I'd wait and see what condition your battery is in before replacing it - any other symptoms?

Cam belt replacement is that every eight or ten years?

** dunno!

Previous thread on the cambelt question:

Not sure about the radio codes query but for the cam belt I was advised 8 years or 85,000 miles when I had a 2011 1.6 titanium.

Maybe says in your cars service book if it's been done? Did you buy privately or from a garage?
