Hello! 

 

I've asked a few questions about different Fords, but my partner is now pregnant and I don't want a loan so I'm looking at a Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 118bhp.  

 

I'm guessing this is based off the original 1.6 100bhp from the early 2000s?  Is this a reliable engine? Are there any issues I should know about?

 

Also abit more of a random question! Are these Euro 5 engines? I mainly ask as my partner works in a ULEZ area!

    What MY, Zetec S are looking at?  My MY10 Zetec S is ULEZ compliant, Euro 5.

    I think EU 5 applied from 1 September 2009 for new approvals and 1 January 2011 for all registrations. I have a brochure from 2011 which shows the 1.6 Fiesta petrol as EU Stage 5 for emissions.

    I thought the ULEZ was EU 4 for petrols, though?

    Thanks for the replies! Looking at 10 plates.  I found a site that tells you the euro rating of you put your reg in.  So far all the 10 plates I've put in are euro 5.  The two 59s I've tried are euro 4.

     

    Euro 4 petrols are ULEZ rated.  I'm just just future proofing as my partner works in the middle of Birmingham's ULEZ.  And with our current governments decisions normally ***** us over I'm thinking better safe than sorry haha
