Bonnet sensor setting alarm off

Hi this is my first post. I keep getting bonnet open warning whilst driving and it's setting my alarm off all day which is stressing me out. Is there any way of stopping this until the mechanic comes on tuesday. I've tried wd40 contact cleaner but that's made it worse, could I disconnect the battery and if so would I be able to lock/unlock the car still? Cheers.

    Remove the sensor plug and bridge the wires together.  That way the car will think the bonnet is closed.

    If you remove the car battery, you will only be able to lock the drivers door individually using the physical key in the door barrel.
