Key fob battery lasts months

Featured Replies

I've replaced the batteries in both fobs twice in a few months,  I'm using Duracell not pound shop! Anyone else had this? Thanks, Dave

Duracell

,,,,,,and sadly there is the problem 😧

There appears to be a huge amount of counterfeit Duracell batteries flooding the market. Even Duracell themselves seem unable (or unwilling) to identify the fakes.

Use only Energizer or Panasonic and test the new battery before use with a meter. A new battery should be 3.30V and will last about 3 years in normal use.

Yes, as mentioned in other threads - had Duracells (or were they?) fail in days. Now using Energizer in key fobs.

Originals had lasted 3 years as Unofix suggests.

Perfect,  thanks. I've used energiser AAs in xmas lights and they weren't as good as Duracell! So I'll try Panasonic next and test them first. What a great forum this is 👍
