Hi all,

Every couple of years the inlet manifold turbo pipe splits requiring me to replace.

I'm not sure why this keeps happening does anyone have any ideas?

    Cheap Chinese plastic copy rather than the very expensive genuine Ford part ? 🤔

    As far as I can tell the Chinese copies are hard plastic where as the oem ones are rubber.

    The last one I brought was oem and still split 😕

    Hard plastic will definitely split there.  The engine moves freely on it's mounts.  The intercooler is fixed to the chassis.  The movement between the two should be absorbed by the concertina pipe.
