XR2i-bomber
rear backplates busted beyond repair need new urgently. seached like a blue maniac after these, 203 mm drums. could work with rust free used parts as well. but... where to find it? Or which parts are best to use for a rear disc brake conversion? as it seems these plates seems to be rarer than hen's teeth. XR2i-bomber
Ordered parts, now wait until their pending are done. 7zap seems not to be the most convenient company to order from
XR2i-bomber
Solved it, found a axle, with brakes and all, and tadaaaa..... The GREAT goal, last one I saw one it was way, way out of reach... This is the real baddie in Fiesta bumpers. All for €330 including insane freights (Double against the cost for parts). Oh, I forgot to tell what it is, it's one of the rarest bumpers to Fiestas there is. StephenFord
It's lovely to hear of an XR2i enthusiast keeping these fine cars on the road. I owned a then new 1982 XR2, and just loved that car! Remember putting on a square RS body kit on it, RS steering wheel, and a few extra gauges. Sadly in the era before digital photography so have virtually no pictures of her. You may notice a slim silver gap on the bottom of the doors where the factory black of the door doesn't reach the bottom. I had my car in the paint shop before delivery sorting that out! Also put on an extra rear fog light for symmetry, and a 'remote' passenger mirror so I could adjust from inside the cabin. I was a very fussy young man LOL Stock photo - not my XR2!

It's very fun cars and "cheap" to maintain, depending on what you think is cheap, but not as jags and such which ruins the wallet if something breaks. Found a source for parts in Lithuania to supply basic parts if something goes very wrong, very decent prices, but hefty freight, so buy a lot at one buy. Body parts, electrical stuff, everything available.
