RCM Module DTC causing air bag light

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Fiesta 2011 1.25, I knew it was a CAT S when I bought it and I found out that the previous owners had shoved tissue to hide the air bag light. Now the air bag light is constantly on. There were two codes, one regarding the front restraints sensor which I replaced and now that code is gone, however I still get U2012:95-8A code, which says "Car Configuration Parameter(s)" and says that it is "Incorrect Assembly" for the RCM. This is causing an air bag light and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to remove it.

Thanks in advance.

RCM might be from a donor car and the configuration does not match your car.

Get a decent Lead, V-Linker or OBDEX, Get FORScan on your laptop and set up a free account

Connect a battery charger to the vehicle

Connect to vehicle and select configuration & programming

Select RCM ASbuilt

On the bottom of the screen you will see some buttons

Click "Download and install factory asbuilt"

Click write all

Reset the module

Clear the DTC and see if it comes back

Hi, i did this and it didn’t work, the code went and then came back a little while after.

It didn’t let me load factory ab so i downloaded it from motor craft and loaded it, however when i pressed to load it it said the blocks aren’t the same so i’m not sure what to do or if there is any other thing i can try to fix it.

Motorcraft says there is only one field however on forscan two are shown.

the 737-02-01 is nowhere to be found so i am a bit confused. thanks

Possibly wrong module fitted to car.

Get part number from module and take to a dealer and see what part number of module should be fitted.

Find a module of the same part number and it should sort it
