Synch3 and maps

Featured Replies

Hi, my 2018 Fiesta had maps v6.1, so I downloaded the latest synch, updated that, then the latest maps ( which took ages ), and updated it so its showing v10.

Is this the latest?, also when it finished updating the maps, the screen said it had finished part 1 ? Is there a part 2 or more?

If you’ve got the XML file on the USB stick to verify the update then parts 1 and 2 have completed successfully.

In the early Sync 3.0 firmware when you were updating maps you’d update “part 1” then have to stop and lock the car, wait 3 mins then unlock and restart your journey for the update to continue. More recent firmware and updates force a Sync 3 reboot so the update just carries on.
