You guys seriously I need some help.
you’ve probably seen my threads and had enough but this is the last one🙃

okay as you know I bought a 1.6 fiesta zetec s  for 1,200 the water pump failed and I replaced it. Now the head gasket have gone and its knocking on the front end ( was like it when I bought it I know it needs arms etc) I’ve priced engines up but it’s the time and money.
Is it worth me taking the £600/£700 offer I’ve recieved for it? Or carry on putting money into it. Please

Take the money and run ...............🤣

Many of us reach that tipping point with a troublesome car - ultimately only you can decide. Helps if you have a replacement car in your sights that you can compare & contrast!

Sorry I have not seen your other threads - I assume you can't do the head gasket yourself?  Front arms are 60 GBP each plus labour 1 or 2 hours tops....

IMO what it cost you isn't in the equation - the equations are:

1) How much is the car worth fixed, vs cost to get it fixed - subtract the money you've been offered and in the cold light of day what adds up?

2) but then (if you need a car), could you afford anything more reliable in its place?

Only you can do that maths.
