Cv boot replacement mk2 focus 1.8 tdci

Featured Replies

Hi so my outer cv boot as new slit. Is it a simple job to replace it ? Does anyone no how it’s done like can the cv joint pop off to put a new boot on ???  Thanks.

Garages generally use stretch boots nowadays.  Comes with an applicator cone for easy fitting.  Saves trying to remove the joint first.

You can also get universal CV Joint Boot Kits that you glue shut and you don't have to dismantle anything. They are ok as a stopgap but do not last very long in my experience.

Okay nice one. Plus I have no.2 no.4 injector leaking and I can’t seem to find the right o rings. I’ve had them out before as they had all that black stuff around them. Was sound to get out and I cleaned them up the best I could used the old o rings and it as lasted about 2 months and now getting the tar coming back. Thanks for your info into the issues I have with the car 👍
