Dog guard

Featured Replies

I have the official ford dog guard to fit to my fiesta S 2010 plate but its missing the screws/bolts (2 silver, 2 black) The ref for the guard is....1713210. Does anyone have any idea of the bolt/screw sizes so I can purchase some? Many thanks.

The screws seem to come as part of the kit, no info about them separately.

If bought used, could you ask the previous owner for them?

The odds are they are metric sizes. B&Q will have little bags of them at exorbitant prices considering they are standard fasteners. Estimate the length(s) you need and measure the diameter of the hole they screw into. For the likely sizes the list below shows the nominal thread size 'M8' and the tapping hole size '6.8' in mm. You will probably have a choice of heads to choose from on the racks at B&Q.

M8 6.8
M9 7.8
M10 8.5
M11    11 9.5
M12 10.2
M14 12
M16 14
M18 15.5
M20 17.5
