Supplemental rust proofing. Who has done this and what prod?

I had been using Ford Superseal anti corrosion compound all through the 1980’s until they did away with it in the mid 2000’s

I now use a 3M product and the supplied extension wands to reach into body shell cavities. Is WaxOil still available in the UK? 
I recall that my Father had a couple of cans of that product and used it on his  Triumph Spitfire. But that was in the mid 1970’s.

I think the modern Fiesta would hold up much longer with a few treatments of good quality rustproofing. Especially the front subframe and the rear suspension brackets that are coated instead of painted. The coating is not very durable.

Thanks Eric! I did not know that Hammerite was the maker of Waxoyl. 

Bilt Hamber do a very good range of rustprotection/removal products.

Yes, the brand is now part of the Akzo Nobel empire but formerly manufactured by Finnigans Specialist Paints in Prudhoe, Northumberland.
